Essex County Regional Emergency Communications Center Fire Advisory Board MINUTES OF THE MEETING July 7th 2011 The Essex County Regional Emergency Communications Center Advisory Board held a public meeting on July 7, 2011 at Topsfield Fire Department, 27 High Street, Topsfield MA. Board Members Present: Chief Ronald Giovannacci – Topsfield Fire Chief Jonathan Brickett – Amesbury Fire Chief Paul Cotter – Beverly Fire Chief Robert Blanchard – Wenham Fire The Fire Advisory Board meeting began at 8:40AM. MEETING MINUTES N/A. Brief on RECC Center: Joe McGowan Building Process: Joe discussed the process with the RFP and time line for the awarding of the construction portion of the building. Some minor issues with one of the sub-contractors bid did cause a minor delay. Problem has been corrected and still feels the ground breaking to be end of August- September 2011. Joe feels we are still on track for a completion schedule and operational 4th quarter of 2012. CAD SYSTEM The CAD system process with Kimball Associates is under way. They will be requiring conference calls with the Fire Advisory Board in the near future to help pave the path of need for the system. Job Description for Director: The job description has been completed and approved. The search is under way through the channels. The needed requirements for the director are the following: People Person, Tech Person, Budget Person. New Business: No New Business Next Meeting will be August 10, 2011 @ 8:30am Topsfield Fire Department. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: There being no further business, Chief Giovannacci moved to adjourn the meeting at 09:45AM. Chief Cotter made the motion, seconded by Chief Brickett. Motion carried unanimously.
